01 Services
What we do.
Drywall is the only trade we do. The Drywall Repair Co. repairs drywall and installs it, from a single patch to new walls and ceilings hung and finished for a remodel. Below are the drywall services we offer across Portland and the metro area. Pick the one closest to what you need, or send photos and we'll tell you which one fits.
- 01
Drywall repair
Holes, cracks, dents, nail pops, and old patches that never blended in. We tape, skim, and match the texture until the spot disappears. This is the everyday work we're named for. - 02
Drywall installation
New walls and ceilings hung, taped, and finished to the level the room needs, for remodels, additions, garages, basements, and new construction. Our name says repair, but we install new drywall too. - 03
Ceiling repair
Cracks along the seams, sagging sections, and water stains repaired so the ceiling is flat again. On a textured ceiling, we match the texture so the repair blends in with the rest of it. - 04
Texture matching
Texture matching is the core of our work. We blend new work into orange peel, knockdown, hand-troweled, or smooth finishes so the patch doesn't stand out from the wall around it. - 05
Water damage drywall repair
After the leak is fixed and the inside of the wall is dry, we cut out what got wet, hang new board, and refinish it to match the room. We work with insurance claims, and we tell you honestly whether the drywall can be repaired or needs to be replaced. - 06
Plaster repair
Repairs to the lath-and-plaster walls and ceilings in Portland's older homes. Lath is the row of wood strips behind old plaster. We patch, skim-coat, or overlay the plaster and keep as much of the original wall as we can. Plaster takes different skills than drywall, and fewer contractors do it. - 07
Garage & basement drywall
Garage and basement drywall hung and finished to code, including fire-rated 5/8-inch Type X board where Oregon requires it. In basements, we plan the work around moisture, which is common in Portland. - 08
Popcorn ceilings
Old popcorn ceilings covered with a smooth overlay instead of scraped off. This method, called encapsulation, leaves the old texture undisturbed, which is the safe approach for Oregon homes.
Property manager or general contractor? We handle light commercial drywall too. Ask us about a project.
