Most houses here are ranches and split-levels from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. They were built with sprayed orange peel or knockdown texture. Orange peel is a fine, bumpy spray finish. Knockdown is sprayed on and then flattened with a trowel, which leaves flat, uneven spots. After thirty or forty years of family life, the walls show the usual wear: dents from doorknobs, cracks above doors and windows where the house has settled, nail pops along the studs, and now and then a water stain from an aging roof or a bathroom fan. None of this is unusual. The hard part is matching a texture that was sprayed on decades ago, and a drywall specialist does that better than a general handyman with a patch kit.
Remodels are common too. Owners who have lived in a Cooper Mountain or Reedville home for years open up a kitchen or finish a room, and the new drywall has to be hung and finished so it matches the walls that are already there. A drywall contractor in Aloha should handle both the small repairs and the remodel work, and we do both.
